ACT Releases Single Mass Flywheels for the 2011-2012 Ford Mustang
Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) is pleased to introduce the new lightweight, SFI Spec. 1.1 Certified, XACT flywheel for the 2011-2012 Ford Mustang 3.7L V6. These high quality, forged Chromoly steel flywheels are CNC-machined and feature induction-hardened integral ring gear for increased durability. ACT flywheels are engineered for strength and are precision-balanced for smooth operation. Driver and spectator safety are a top priority at ACT. Each ACT flywheel is certified to meet SFI Spec 1.1 standards, making them legal for competition where SFI 1.1 certification is required or recommended.
XACT flywheels come complete with an official SFI sticker and serial number, as required for certification. The new XACT Streetlite 600670 flywheel, weighing in at 22.6 pounds offers a 28% weight loss over the OE Flywheel, providing quicker engine response and acceleration. This flywheel is a must have replacement for the weak OE dual mass unit for vehicles upgraded to produce more power and torque or even vehicles mildly modified for track use.
