AEM Validates Infinity for 2004-’06 Subaru EJ257-Equipped WRX STi
The Infinity ECU is now available as a Supported Application for 2004-’06 EJ257-equipped Subaru WRX STi racecars (PN 30-7100 Infinity 710, 30-7101 Infinity 708, and 30-7108 Infinity 508 and PN 30-7106 Infinity 506).
The Infinity provides full control of the Active Valve Control System (AVCS) and Drive-by-Wire system on 2004-’06 models, and the factory tachometer, speedometer, coolant temperature and fuel level gauges are supported.
Plug & Pin Kits and flying-lead Universal Wiring Harnesses are available for adapting the Infinity ECU onto the EJ257 STi engine.
The Infinity ECU is a complete standalone programmable ECU that includes multiple boost control strategies, programmable nitrous control, programmable variable valve cam timing control, on-the-fly map switching, programmable traction control, launch control, flex fuel and multi fuel capability. It utilizes airflow (VE) based tuning, has up to 64GB data logging capacity and can transfer data at up to 480Mb/second. Its enclosure is sealed and has sealed IP67-rated comms connectors.
The Infinity ECU makes state-of-the-art ECU technology affordable for both professional teams and amateur racers. Built around a latest-generation 32 bit floating point 200MHz automotive processor and Real Time Operating System (RTOS), the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second). To our knowledge, the Infinity ECU currently has the fastest processing speed of any aftermarket Motorsports ECU available. This processing speed combined with a RTOS provides more accurate ignition timing for increased power, more responsiveness to truly custom tailor the driving experience to the driver, allows the Infinity to perform more computational features without a sacrifice in processing performance, and enables tuning of features and sub strategies without affecting other features and sub strategies. It allows you to do more, faster, in a more stable programming environment.
The Infinity’s airflow-based tuning models simplify start up and speed up the tuning process by eliminating many of the lookup and trim tables (Correction Tables) necessary in previous generation ECUs. Each Infinity ECU includes ignition coil outputs and injector drivers equivalent to its name.
