Like the front, the rear kit comes complete with all the brackets, washers, brake lines and new parking brake cables. Overall the kit is nothing short of stunning in person; coming in three hefty boxes you should find your best friend willing to carry a heavy load, read a lot of instructions and heed plenty of warning labels.

We set to work installing the Wilwood SI brake kit by first removing the front stock calipers and rotors. The factory dust-shields had to go so Howard hacked those off. Next, we used thread locker on the fasteners attaching the aluminum top hat to the rotor and safety wiring the fasteners together per the instructions as an added safety measure.
The bare hub was given a quick brush with some mineral spirits and we started assembling the new parts. Track enthusiasts should note the pad release pin (ironically missing from the pic above). Remove one nut and quickly swap out your street pads for an aggressive track pad and you're ready to race. The black electro coat looks like a bad ass carbon rotor. The coating is a nice touch from Wilwood because eventually all iron rotors rust and this coating helps prevent it. Once we bedded the brake pads and checked the functionality of the system the electro coat was swept off all the useable rotor area leaving the unused sections protected.
The rear brakes went on quickly but required a bit of test fitting. The caliper orientation can be adjusted with shims that go between the caliper and mounting bracket supplied by Wilwood. The rotor should be centered in the caliper. If the rotor isn't centered shims need to be added or subtracted to correctly align the caliper. When done we added thread locker to the fasteners.
