Before the battle for the Unlimited Class began, Steven Chan was forced to retire, having had a mechanical failure during some shakedown laps run in an HDPE session. Ryan Passey was given an empty track to see if he could improve the fastest time of the day. Unfortunately, no additional time could be found, and kept his win and FTD of 1:17.036
