HRE Teams Up With Rhys Millen to Create New Bead-Lock Wheel

HRE’s motorsports line has expanded with its first ever off-road specific RX43 bead-lock wheel. Rhys Millen Racing collaborated with the engineering staff at HRE in order to make a wheel that can be dependable and handle the abuse of head-to-head short-course rallycross competition on its Hyundai Veloster.

Featuring a durable forged 13 spoke profile, the RX43 brings completely new technology to the road car world by providing a self centering aggressively knurled outer ring to hold the bead of the tire securely in place while also protecting the titanium hardware and valve stems from wheel to wheel contact.

“We’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what HRE can do for racers in any discipline, said HRE President Alan Peltier. The RX43 wheel meshes our lightweight R43 series with bead-lock technology from the off-road realm to give rallycross drivers a confidence they’re going to have a robust wheel and tire package that survives to the end of the race.”

Every RX43 wheel offers an open lug design for easy access in the pit area along with signature pocketed hubs and spokes to keep rotational mass to a minimum. The wheel is sold exclusively through RMR in a 17×8.75, 17×9.25 and 17×10.25 sizing with a standard HRE powder coat and custom finishes available upon request.
