Improving Dai Yoshihara’s Formula Drift Engine Wear With WPC Treatment!

The stainless intake valve has very little wear on the seating surface. A kiss on the valve grinding machine would clean this right up. This is amazing considering that this is an ethanol run engine.

There is almost no wear on the valve sealing face. Amazing because of the ethanol fuel and the high seat pressures that a roller cam on a big valved motor requires.

The Inconel exhaust valve is subjected to pounding from the roller cam, high heat from the turbo and a lack of protection from the ethanol fuel.

Note that there is just about no wear of the sealing surface at all!

 

The Calles billet crank was WPC treated and shows almost no wear at all.
