Man was this last weekend dope. Friday night I went to a bar in Torrance with my friend Daniel. If I remember correctly, there was quite a bit of tequila, jack daniels, moet, and dom perignon involved (Daniel is a baller). I got home at 7:30am after some breakfast at Denny’s. Now that was a dope night…. I was able to somehow wake up on Saturday and get some paper work done. Then I took a nap and then Saturday night began. It started with a trip to club Circus in Hollywood where my high school buddy, Paris (so named before Ms. Hilton was big shit), did a DJ set from 11-1:30am. He’s mostly a hard house DJ, but you can catch him at Eleven in West Hollywood spinning more discoey House for the gay crowd, Via Soriso in Pasadena on some Friday nights spinning commercialized hip/hop, R&B, top 40 crap, and at other random clubs throughout LA. Anyhow, after a couple shots of Grey Goose, we move on to Vangaurd for GIANT where Hernan Cattaneo was spinning until 4am. From this point it was all bottled water, if you know what I’m sayin. So after GIANT, we move on to Avalon for Spundae where DJ ICEY was rockin a set. DJ ICEY IS FUCKING DOPE! I’ve been following his career since the early days so it was great to see him live. I saw him live at a rave way back in the day, but it was better in a club with the awesome sound system. Dude, there were so many subwoofers shakin the dancefloor they had to be pumpin 10,000+ watts of power. I haven’t danced like that in a while. Yeah, I know you can’t imagine me dancing, but it is was fun anyway (I can’t picture myself dancing…). I got home at 8am. I got to see two world class DJs in one night and had a blast at the same time. Needless to say I slept most of Sunday and recovered slowly, but surely. Good weekend and good times.
