Let's face it…. There are a lot of shit products on the market and we here at MotoIQ make no bones about the fact that we hate crappy parts and knock offs. In a straight out rebellion against said polished piles of crap we have come up with a designation of sorts. When we find a product we like, one that is cutting edge, works well, makes sense, bests others in performance etc…. we will bestow it with the honor of being MotoIQ “Certified Legit”. Make no mistake, regardless of how we come by parts (purchase, company donation for testing, sponsorship, barter, trade etc…..) we will ONLY designate them 'Certified Legit” if they are worthy! This designation will NOT be based on price point. Many of the items MAY be expensive and some of them may be nearly free, the purpose here is to give credit where credit is due. In addition to designating parts “Certified Legit” we also reserve the right to award companies and individuals this self proclaimed honor.
In all fairness I wanted to have a counterpart segment that bestowed the “Guaranteed piece of shit” to fake ass bunk parts, but alas my mother told me that if you don't have anything nice to say and if you don't want to get sued for libel it may be best to keep that designation to ourselves. Alas the legalese prevails and the steaming pile of logo is not coming to fruition at this point.
Lastly MotoIQ will NOT be bought. Just because we bestow a “Certified Legit” status on a product that is made by one of our paid advertisers you can rest assured it deserves said accolade. Anything you see on the pages of MotoIQ that is “Certified Legit” is based on hands on, real world testing and experience. Most often a data set will be provided to substantiate our opinion and other times you may simply have to take our word for it.
Look for our first “Certified Legit” product within the next week and look for additions to the sight based on this designation. You will eventually be able to sort and search for tested parts so that you may consider them for purchase.
