North American Festival of Speed to host Subie Jam 2011
Once again, Subaru of Las Vegas and Zenkai Motorsports are cooperatively organizing a huge Subaru event to close out the week of automotive industry announcements and displays during the 2011 SEMA Show.
Subie Jam also marks the close out of the multi-day Subie Invasion, which starts with a Thursday night meet including raffle prizes and giveaways, as organized by Flat4 Las Vegas. With the North American Festival of Speed’s introduction to the automotive and motorsports communities, a great opportunity surfaced for Subie Jam. Taking advantage of this new event in the Las Vegas Valley, Subie Jam 2011 will be held at an all new location this year.
For three-days, enthusiasts and industry people will converge on Las Vegas Motor Speedway–a short distance north of the World Famous Las Vegas Strip. This new event is being held November 4, 5 and 6, serving automotive and motorsports fans alike with a wide variety of activities and events throughout the weekend.
As part of Subie Jam 2011, Subaru owners will have the opportunity to park their beloved Subaru® inside the Speedway, as part of Subie Jam’s Exclusive Subaru® Staging Area. For access to event parking, contact Subaru of Las Vegas or local Subaru® enthusiast club, Flat 4 Las Vegas (http://www.Flat4LV.com). Both parties will have parking passes for interested Subaru® drivers.
Joining Subaru® owners in the Subie Jam complex will be Ali Afshar and ESX Motorsports, promoting his new movie ‘Born to Race’ with his 1,000 HP 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Driver Stephan Verdier, who made Zenkai Motorsports’ initial run up Pikes Peak in June, will be on site too.
Subie Jam features a Subaru-exclusive vendor area, where a number of Subaru of Las Vegas / Zenkai Motorsports sponsors will be on hand with product specials and information for attendees. Also on site will be Subaru’s Drive Performance magazine presenting badges of ownership, magazines and providing coverage of the event for the award-winning national publication.
Additional attractions, such as the Zenkai Motorsports racecar which was modified by a life-saving guardrail on a hairpin turn at our Pikes Peak attempt earlier this year, will be on hand. A video display replaying the exciting race day footage will be set up for those who want to see how the major alterations occurred.
Not content with a car show only type event, we have some added excitement to capture the attention of drivers and spectators: a 2-day time attack competition will run Saturday and Sunday. Starting Saturday afternoon–and into the night, drivers will have the opportunity to see how well their Subaru® handles on competition tarmac.
Members of the media from both print and online publications will be gathering stories and images of the event to further increase the reach of this inaugural event.
