Precision Turbo And Engine has teamed up with Walsh Motorsports to offer a turbocharger upgrade service for the Ford F150 EcoBoost engine.
Precision’s Ford F150 EcoBoost turbocharger package, available exclusively through Walsh Motorsports, upgrades the existing factory turbocharger components, which ensures a simple bolt-on installation process. The result is more horsepower, increased torque, and lower air inlet temperatures than the stock units for improved performance. Additionally, Precision’s cost effective coreexchange program lets customers get more power without breaking the bank.
The upgrade service itself will be performed by the team at Walsh Motorsports. Customers simply remove their factory turbos and ship them to Walsh Motorsports, 47901 Anna Court, Wixom, MI 48393. Upon receipt, the Walsh team will return an upgraded set of turbochargers featuring Precision’s CEA® compressor wheels. Utilizing a proprietary design, the new Precision compressor wheels are more efficient, offer quicker spool, and make more horsepower than the OEM compressor wheels.
Pricing for the upgrade service (when factory turbos are sent in as core units) is set at just $999 per turbo. Additionally, an installation kit which includes all of the necessary flanges, gaskets, seals, and hardware, is available through Walsh Motorsports for a cost of $169.
Walsh Motorsports will also be offering methanol kits and tuning solutions for EcoBoost owners beginning in early 2015. In testing, they have seen gains up to 150 horsepower over stock with tuning and a few simple bolt-ons.
