Revenge of the Nerd: Trackday Douche Bag VIDEO

A lot of us at MotoIQ are driving instructors for NASA, Speedventures and other groups. As instructors we get all kinds of students, some good, some bad. This is a classic example of a stereotypical bad student. We have different categories; the expensive car douchebag, the ricer, the Asian stick shaker, the pro street racer sign me off now guy. This video shows a combination of nearly all of them stuck into one person.
Usually females are the best students and end up improving the fastest and going faster. The best students are the ones with no pretense of anything. It doesn't matter how inexperienced they are, they always get faster, sometimes a lot faster quickly.
Good instructors usually have their students start off slow, learn about lines and brake points then slowly add speed. Sometimes we have have to tell students to slow down and do it right before we let them go fast.
The character in the video is the type we laugh about over beers at the end of the day. Seriously sometimes they are that bad, I had one fellow in a Ferrari like that. He came in a transporter with mechanics and an extensively modified bored trophy wife/girlfriend. He was probably the slowest guy in the corners of the entire beginners run group and the fastest on the straights and refused to give a point by. He had a smug cocky attitude that was insufferable.
In download meetings he bitched and complained about everyone else. I had to tell him to find another instructor because I wanted to punch him in the face. I think it was Annie Sam's first track day ever and she was smoking him in a stock NX2000. I think he complained about her as well.
