The space itself is cool enough to tour; the cars are the cherries on top. |
The Mercedes Benz 170S (1.7L engine…) was produced from 1949 to 1952. In crappy condition, you're looking at about $10k. Fully restored, you can get 10-15x that much. |
The Austin Mini pickup truck was 11' long. |
Alvis (left) just started production on a “continuation” (same specs) 4.3L model, 73 years after it was last produced. Morris Garages MG T-series hardtop on the right. |
The 1963 Abarth 850 TC Nürburgring can be yours for about $40k. It boasts quite the resume winning the manufacturer's Championship 7 from 1962 to 1967 and the European Challenge touring class in '65, '66 and '67, as well as winning Nürburgring in 1963. |
Carlo Abarth took the engine from a Fiat 600D (767cc) and coaxed 847cc out of it, increasing the bore from 60mm to 62.5mm and the stroke from 63.5mm to 69mm. He had to build 1,000 of them in order to meet the requirements of Turismo Competizione (TC) race class. The kit was sold with stronger conrods and lighter pistons with smaller skirts among other mods. Cam timing and valve lift was also adjusted and the kit included larger radiator and disc brakes. It was cheaper to buy the kit and do the work yourself. Depending on mods, you could have an 850 with between 52 and 57hp at 6,000rpm to 6,500rpm. |
