The 2015 Chevy Silverado was named SEMA's Truck of the Year. The Toughnology Concept truck has a powerful 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine with direct injection, CVVT, and Active Fuel Management system to crank out 355hp and 383 lb ft of torque. It also features “Chevy Performance Low Restriction Fresh Air induction system” concept, fancy for low restriction.
The LSA 6.2L SC supercharged engine is a modified LS series Gen IV Small block V8. The block is cast aluminum with 6 bolt, cross-bolted main caps, forged steel crankshaft, hypereutectic aluminum pistons, and 9:1 compression ratio for a cheap $14k.
Remember when the ground opened up at the National Corvette Museum this past February, swallowing a few Corvettes like that dude who was purposefully eaten alive by an anaconda (not the Nicki Minaj version). This Corvette was one of the sinkhole's eight victims, a 2009 ZR1 Blue Devil show car. It has since been restored to show condition and features a supercharged LS9 V8 engine with 638hp and 604 lb ft of torque that can do 0-60 in 3.4 seconds.
