We’re putting together one of the coolest versions of Toyota’s legendary 4AG — a stroker 5AG hybrid with a billet MRP crank, JE pistons, and a ton of detail work.
Howard walks through every step of the process like he’s building a race engine, because he is. From measuring piston-to-wall clearance and setting ring gaps by hand, to checking every bearing with a micrometer (no Plastigage here), this is how a proper 9,000-rpm 4AG gets built.
