While the old radiator and intake on Project V8 RX-7 was indeed functional and served us well it needed shrouding and certainly lacked a certain amount of “form”. In this video we fix all of that with the help of Samberg Performance and the V3 version of their radiator/intake kit made specifically for LS swapped FD Rx-7’s!

Why don’t we see more of this car in action? Seems pretty well developed from a parts standpoint. New radiator and intake definitely have a more fabricated appearance than the prior setup.
Hey Jeff, nice work on the install; i’ve used your build series extensively in the rebuilding of my LS FD. Have you noticed if your coolant temperature rises when stopped at redlights?? I have the Samberg rad set-up in mine; My LS3 swapped FD will run at 194 degF when rolling down the road but will rise to 214 degF while idling for 1-3 minutes at a redlight. Both fans are wired into the Chevy crate engine fan relay and are programmed to come on at 190 degF.
