The Peterson dry sump tank is rear mounted for better weight distribution.

This is to all of you form is> function folk.  Maybe this is true to you, but the era of slammed, hella flush ass scrapers with overstressed small displacement 4 cylinders in professional drifting is over.  Deal with it.  If you don’t think so, then we welcome you to try out for your Formula D license and join the party to prove us wrong. And no, D1 is not 1000 times better than Formula D either, if you were real drift fans instead of FFF JDM fanbois you would know.

The drysump tank has an integrated oil filter.

Now it’s time for the standard disclaimer,  to avoid butt hurting people, there is nothing wrong with the look of hella flush or having your car tucking if you are into the aesthetic, nor is there anything wrong with drifting a turbo 4 cylinder or anything else for that matter for fun.  There is nothing wrong with soul drifting or the roots of drifting; just don’t confuse this for top echelon professional competition.  It does not work better, period.

The low profile FAST LSX manifold is the same part used on Dai Yoshihara’s engine.  It is one of the most powerful low profile manifolds made.  The big billet throttle body also helps quite a bit for power development.

In 2010, his first full Formula D season, Matt would amaze us.  He was literally a one man show, prepping his car, driving it around the country, working on it at events and even changing tires between rounds single handedly.  Matt was so hungry and hardcore, he even lived in the same garage he worked on his car in, sleeping on the floor.  In fact he still does!  With excellent 2010 point results, Matt was able to get better sponsorship deals and is investing wisely by having a dedicated 3 man crew.  For 2011, Matt will be working with GTI Technical Innovations with Costa Gialamas acting as his crew chief.

This Comp Cam’s Katech grind is for off road racing and will give a wide powerband.  Katech is the builder of the killer C6R ALMS engine if you didn’t know.
