AEM Charge Pipe Upgrade For 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L FA20DIT

AEM Charge Pipe Upgrade For 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L FA20DIT

The VA series 2015 Subaru WRX is quickly gaining traction in the tuner community due to its all-new 2.0L FA20DIT direct injection boxer engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger. The VA series 2015 Subaru WRX is the first WRX to move away from the EJ-series engine. Drivability of the WRX has been improved because the 2.0L FA20DIT makes peak torque numbers twice as soon as the 2.5L EJ engine. Also worth noting is that the smaller 2.0L FA20DIT engine makes slightly more horsepower than the 2.5 EJ. The combination of the new 2.0L FA series engine, and the standard six-speed manual transmission, provides the 2015 Subaru WRX owner with a much different driving experience than the car it replaced.

AEM has a solid reputation within Subaru enthusiast communities for creating Subaru short ram and cold air intake systems which boost horsepower and torque for not only the WRX, and WRX STi, but also the BRZ, Forester, Impreza RS, Legacy, and even Outback models. Building on that experience AEM Induction Systems has released an aftermarket upgraded performance charge pipe kit for 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L FA20DIT models. The AEM 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L charge pipe, number 26-3000C, is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube charge pipe kit designed to replace the restrictive factory charge pipe. The AEM charge pipe has been engineered to lower restriction, reduce air pressure losses, and dramatically improve airflow from the 2.0L FA20DIT engine’s turbo to the intercooler.

The AEM 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L charge pipe kit is constructed from lightweight mandrel-bent 2-1/4”aluminum tubing finished with a durable gunmetal gray powder coat. In addition to improving aesthetics, the AEM WRX charge pipe is designed to accommodate the use of aftermarket bypass or blow-off valves. This allows for additional customization, and/or tuning, accommodating a specific level of performance, or altered acoustics. The AEM 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L charge pipe kit, number 26-3000C, is designed to work with the stock air intake system, or AEM cold air intake system 21-732C. The highly-engineered charge pipe kit is designed to produce a noticeable increase in horsepower, torque and acceleration from stock or modified 2015 WRX 2.0L FA20DIT models.

On the dyno the AEM WRX charge pipe kit, 26-3000C, produced an estimated additional 13 horsepower at 3,800 rpm and an impressive 19 pound-feet of torque at 3,800 rpm. This dyno test was performed on a stock 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L with a manual transmission with only the changeover to an AEM charge pipe kit. In addition to increasing horsepower, lowering restriction and increasing airflow will improve acceleration and drivability while allowing the twin-scroll turbocharger to spool up quicker. This boost in power is exactly what VA series 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L drivers need to embarrass owners of 2.5L EJ powered WRX models.

The VA series 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L AEM charge pipe kit, number 26-3000C, is an excellent aftermarket performance upgrade for the FA20DIT direct injection boxer engine. This is a complete AEM charge pipe kit including all the necessary hardware, and step by step installation instructions. The AEM 2015 Subaru WRX charge pipe kit can be easily installed using common hand tools. AEM charge pipe kit, 26-300C, is an excellent upgrade which further compliments the performance of an AEM Subaru WRX cold air intake.
