Don’t hit the back of the car again Darren, it’s a lot stronger now!

Bars were added to the rear structure, cage and front structure to stiffen the chassis.  The cage was also welded to the roof structure.  Holes in the unibody were also patched to improve strength and rigidity.  The stiffness will increase the car’s sensitivity to chassis adjustment and improve suspension function.

Hopefully this is what the competition sees in tandem.

After fabrication work the chassis was cleaned and painted and is currently being assembled.  The car will have many improvements, mostly in the cooling and fuel delivery systems to improve reliability.  An increase in power will also be coming.  Stay tuned for more details as the car comes together.
