We got Radium’s anti-rollover valve for the vent and a one-way check valve for the fuel filler. These prevent fuel from escaping the cell if the car flips over.
To further make it difficult for fuel to escape, we got Radium’s self-sealing dry break for filling the car up.
The Dry brake came with hoses and clamps for the fuel filler and vent tube.
We are sorta bummed that the costs and timetable of building our S13 are rapidly spiraling out of control but at least the car will be completely sorted and very safe to run once we are done!

The fuel tank being rotted out is a worry in the back of my mind as I am getting prepared to get back into my S13 after it has been sitting for 15years. After doing some intial searching, I now have a hankering to swap out the rear floor and subframe to swap over to an S14 setup to have the mid-mounted poly tank. I’ve been planning for all these years to keep the car a street car, but upgrade and adapt it to modern standards/crash safety (I work in the collision industry).
If you were going to do all of that I would just get the additional safety of a fuel cell.
