Palm Beach International Raceway is located near Jupiter, Florida, which puts it near the cities of North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Royal Palm Beach. It also puts you 120 miles south of Orlando and 50 miles north of Fort Laurderdale Airport. If you’re coming in from Miami, you’re going to be around 70 miles south of PBIR. Some of the local attractions include the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the Palm Beach Zoo, the Everglades Tours, the Jupiter Lighthouse Museum, and the JD MacArthur Beach State Park. So, if you want to be a tourist before heading in to watch the cars and stars of Formula Drift, the Palm Beach and Jupiter areas provide many venues to suit your entertainment tastes. Just don’t go too far, as that Florida ‘gator will be looking to make a meal out of ya’!

I told you not to open the door! |
Another example of Florida’s interesting wildlife. I believe this is an adolescent White Ibis. Being so close to the Everglades, be prepared for more intesting looking birds, reptiles, and annoying Mosquitoes. |
The popular and sometimes the fastest way around the swaps of Florida, the Air Boat. Airboats are powered by either an air-cooled, 4- or 6-cylinder aircraft or water-cooled, large-displacement, V8 automotive engine, ranging from 125 to over 600 horsepower. Readily-available replacement parts make the automotive engine preferred in some cases. Some of these things can reach speed up to 120 MPH and produce a prop wash of 150 MPH behind it! So if you see one, don’t get behind it! |
