ACCOUNT MANAGER, PERFORMANCE AFTERMARKET

The Account Manager, Performance Aftermarket is the primary interface with the North America Independent Aftermarket Performance distributors for the defined sales territory. This person is responsible for ensuring the annual sales targets are met against the AOP while meeting the business receivables objective. Develop strong business relationships with all key players, understand market key drivers, complete competitor analysis and deliver input to the Global Performance Sales Leader as well as the Performance General Manager. 

Responsibilities include: 

Ensuring the sales and marketing targets are met by working closely with the Performance distributors in developing the sales strategy and promotions. Be the primary commercial interface with the North America Independent Aftermarket Performance customers and developing the aftermarket strategy for the defined sales territory. Provide market related demand information to the Global Performance Leader, Demand Planning, and Forecast Department. Ensure proper inventory alignment in conjunction with Operations' efforts. 

Agree to annual customer targets, development programs, and all other customer commercial interfaces. Liase with the Customer Support Teams to manage the delivery of parts to customers. Ensure AOP, Account Receivables, Sales Forecast and Margin targets are met. Act as primary contact for customers if issues arise. Support the strategies set forth by Global Performance Leader, Performance GM, and/or Global Aftermarket Leadership. Drive customers to forecast ordering in support of lead time requirements for proper inventory management. 

Support the Global Performance Manager, Performance Marketing Manager, Performance Product Manager, and Performance GM with competitive information in order to evaluate and develop the sales strategy for the independent turbocharger aftermarket. Work closely with Performance Product Manager in evaluation of market size, business opportunity, channels, etc. Participate in the Performance customer facing events and help the Performance Marketing Manager as needed. Generate social media posts as needed on behalf of the company on multiple platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. Support larger Aftermarket team and North America customers as required 

REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION

 

MARKETING SPECIALIST, PERFORMANCE AFTERMARKET

Marketing Specialist, Performance is the key leader in establishing strategies and implementing those strategies for the Global Performance Aftermarket in areas such as : social media, web site, merchandise, point-of-sale and promotional products, sponsorship, advertisements, branding opportunities, trade shows, industry partnerships, editorials, filmed interviews, etc. Directs the creation / ideas that feed into items seen at consumer level. Manages Marketing Agency resource contracted on retainer. Central point for regional teams to seek guidance and support in customer marketing. Support extended Aftermarket team as needs arise, including Service Replacement business. 

Responsibilities include: 

Acquire, review, and process racing sponsorship candidates including necessary contracts. Manage hardware distribution to the race teams including priority decisions that affect Garrett Garage production line. Manage returns for repairs and inspections on a regular basis. Act as primary contact for all sponsorship activities and teams.

Utilize marketing assets from race teams for print, digital, and social media advertising. Promote accolades throughout the season and leverage for marketing. Attend race events and automotive related events for brand recognition and race support which includes weekend travel. Manage booth property to promote brand at events and talk to consumers. Organize and manage two major trade shows plus a consumer event (boostfestmeet.com) inclusive of planning, logistics, setup, display, teardown, partner engagement, marketing communications, and promotion. 

Establish relationships with industry partners to push co-branding opportunities and cross-promotional ideas 

Act as photographer, videographer, producer, and editor for digital content as needed. Publish said content to various social media and web platforms. Coordinate/negotiate with external photographer and media sources for additional content that can be used for company’s needs. 

Negotiate with external vendors for print and digital advertising rates. Work with sanctioning bodies and event planners to support their events monetarily or with product. Negotiate to have brand featured in web, print, and social media with media partners. Maximize return on investment through various negotiation strategies. 

Manage external marketing agency tasks and priorities. Establish goals, assign tasks, set requirements for creation of content. Directly handle creation of print collateral, catalogs, merchandise/apparel, events, and advertisements. 

Maintain, improve, and update www.TurboByGarrett.com web site including all relevant data, posts, new product releases, etc. with support from external team and/or agency. Establish goals to improve user experience by incorporating HUE tools and analysis. 

Contact for direct customers to review marketing plans and print designs (ensure they are following HON brand guidelines). Offer marketing opportunities to customers as part of co-op. Provide customers with pictures, videos, logos, information, and product as needed for their own marketing initiatives. 

Work with designated agencies and internal partners to develop marketing collateral, sponsorship relations, materials, and media communications. Identify vendors, negotiate costs, design, establish, and procure point of sales / store-front marketing items for customers. 

Set brand and sponsorship guidelines according to HON expectations. See to it that agency, customers, and internal team are following guidelines and correct where necessary. 

Direct global team members in following brand standards and Performance team objectives. 

Support the Global Performance Manager, Performance Product Manager, and Performance General Manager with competitive information in order to evaluate and develop the sales strategy for the independent turbocharger aftermarket. Work closely with Performance Product Manager in evaluation of market size, business opportunity, channels, etc. 

Manage social media presence for Performance Aftermarket with agency support. Generate social media posts on behalf of the company on multiple platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter via computer or mobile. Support larger IAM Marketing team and NA customers as required
