HKS, the iconic automotive performance parts manufacturer, is announcing the official sponsorship of Formula D driver Daigo Saito, and his HKS powered GTR.
Saito is an accomplished drifter and has won numerous events throughout his career including the 2008 D1 Championship. His entry into Formula D in 2012 launched his career to international success when he became the Formula D Grand Champion and the only person ever to win both a D1 and FormulaD championship.
An accomplished driver such as Saito and a competitive vehicle such as the GTR make the perfect combination for a winning formula. HKS has countless wins in Circuit Racing, Drag Racing, and Drifting, and believes this sponsorship will help to further exemplify their dedication to the motorsports industry and its youth. Saito’s car will be using the HKS “F-Con” tuning software, GT1000 turbo kit, and Hipermax Coilover suspension. HKS USA will also be on site at each event throughout the season to ensure the Nissan GTR is performing at its optimum level.
HKS’ sponsorship of Daigo Saito and his Nissan GTR kicks off on April 10th at the Streets of Long Beach for the season opener and will continue through the championship finale at Irwindale Speedway on October 10th.
