The only drawback with the new knob is that if you have small hands, the reverse lockout ring is harder to reach. Small-handed people have to shift their hand off the top of the knob to get their fingers around the ring. For us, this isn’t a big deal but it’s something that needs to be mentioned.
The shifter is now smoother feeling, almost like OEM with the heavier knob, it is still much more precise and direct than the stock shifter. The Cobb short shifter and bushings when combined with the knob is a pretty impressive feeling upgrade that you are reminded of whenever you shift gears!

How did you setup the shifter? Move the ball closer to the pivot or shorten the handle or both?
Yes, I set it up that way so it would not be too fast.
