KW – Dynamic Damping Control Coilovers
KW Suspensions announces their KW DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) coilovers for select Volkswagen and BMW applications.
KW DDC coilovers allows the enthusiast to control/change damping rates remotely. Utilizing patented Variant 3 valve technology for a premium ride quality and performance. A proportioning valve is controlled electronically to regulate the flow of oil (within milliseconds) and provide varying damping rates.
Two versions of DDC coilovers are available:
- KW DDC Plug & Play – replace factory OEM electronic damping suspension components with KWâs DDC Plug & Play units for increased ride performance and a more defined difference between different damper settings. Damping adjustments will be done via the factory OEM controls.
- KW DDC ECU â retrofit KW DDC technology within your current vehicle. An illuminated dash mounted button is provided to switch damper settings from Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus dampening modes. An optional W-LAN Module is available to allow users to use the innovative KW DDC APP for Apple devices.
KW DDC APP
Via Wi-Fi the KW DDC APP allows enthusiasts to fine tune and customize specific percentages of damping forces for the front and rear axles of the vehicle. Adjustments can be made between 0% (= max comfort) to 100% (max sport). Users are able to save 5 custom settings which can also be shared with friends via email. The KW DDC APP is available for free download on the Apple App Store.
Taken into consideration with each KW coilover design are important characteristics such as quality and performance. We specifically design and engineer each vehicle application for the proper range of motion, min/max weight loads and min/max lowering. KW maintains all these requirements while retaining its performance handling characteristics. The stainless steel construction internally and externally provides long-term durability and corrosion resistance from the elements. All KW suspension DDC coilovers come with a limited lifetime warranty.
