MotoIQ Radio: Paul Brown Tribute Show with Allan Crocket of Skip Barber Racing School
By Justin Banner & Kerryann De La Cruz
Sadly, prior to the final round of the Formula Drift Championship, the road racing world lost a legend of the sport, Paul Brown. Though he fought valiantly against cancer, it finally took him from this world on October 12. We will pay tribute to him and speak with Allan Crocket of Skip Barber Racing Schools. We'll also discuss Tiger Racing and what the team will do for 2013.
7:15pm PST – We'll bring on Allan Crocket from Skip Barber Racing Schools to discuss Paul Brown and Tiger Racing. We may even find out more about the future plans for Justin Bell and the rest of the Tiger Racing Crew. |
Tiger Racing – They have actually been around for some time and were made somewhat famous by the Hand Control operated Mustang Cobra R in 2003. It was billed as the “Most Advanced Mustang race car, privately built” for Caroll Hollfelder. She was paralized from the waist down, but still wanted to go racing. So, Tiger Racing built her a car that featured hand controls and a very sophisticated automatic transmission. Well, I say automatic, but it was a Tremec T56 with Ford's “Manumatic” system in place. Remember, this was probably a few years before the debut of the DSG transmissions we are accustomed to today.
|
8:15 – We'll then have Jared Chavez from Whiteline to discuss new products for the BRZ/FR-S and the SEMA Show! |
