Motovicity’s Ticket To Ride FR-S Update- Energy Suspension Bushings

,

The front swaybar has ball joint style end links stock so you can't get much better than that, but hard urethane center bushings can still firm things up by replacing rubber.  Like the rear bushings the bar holes are grooved and textured to reduce noise and retain grease.

Flex in the steering rack mounting bushings can really reduce feel and cause toe settings to drift.  Getting rid of the flex here results in very little degradation of ride comfort.   Notice how thin the urethane is here compared to the sleeves.

Energy has a solid urethane shifter bushing that helps produce more positive shifts while not transmitting a lot of vibration and noise into the drivers compartment like a solid metal part can.

We like bushings because they are one of those win win parts, you get a gain in performance with very little negative trade off.  If you have an older car with worn bushings, a set of new bushings can bring a lot of missing snap back into your cars handling with very little investment.  We can't wait to get the FR-S done and out to the track!
