Finally the wheel well liners and bellypan are reinstalled.

We first did a baseline dyno pull on AEM’s heart breaking Mustang chassis dyno. This is one of the most conservative dynos that we use for our evaluations so it is important to look at the change in number vs the overall peak numbers themselves.  On the Mustang, we selected an average run for a baseline.  The Z put out 220 whp and 187 lb/ft of torque, well below what this car will typically do on a Dynojet.

The intake looks real good in the Z's engine bay and tidys things up.

We installed the intakes, due to having to install two intake tubes and having to remove all of the lower pans and wheel well liners to install the parts, the overall installation took about twice as long as typical. Still it was not too difficult to install.

Next we redynoed the car to compare to our baseline runs.

After the install we returned to the dyno and did many pulls as well as extended running at part throttle in closed loop. We were pleased to see the Z put down on an average run, 235 whp and 197 lb/ft of torque, gains of 15 hp and 10 lb/ft respectively.  The power gains were repeatable and when running in closed loop, the long and short term trims were stable.

This chart shows the stock MAF voltage curve, the curve after intake tuning and the new ETI corrected curve.

What is really amazing is that the peak power gains were nearly the same across the board! This gave the AEM ETI intake a huge gain in area under the curve. It is area under the curve that makes your car faster! The AEM ETI intake has perhaps the most area under the curve gains that we have ever seen from any air intake.

The AEM Nissan 370Z ETI intake yields impressive results with large power gains across the board.  The AEM ETI intake is the most powerful 370Z intake we have ever tested by a long shot.

The intake will serve as a solid base for our other planned mods and earns a MotoIQ Certified Legit award for real deal performance increases!

  1. Hɑving read this I believed it was very informɑtive.

I appreciate you finding the timе and effort to put this informatiߋn together.
I once agaіn find myself spending a lot of timе both reading
