Jason drops in our differential into the axle housing using Toyota Gray sealant instead of a gasket.

The housing is bolted in and ready for axles.

We used heavy duty Panic Made axles souced for us from Battle Garage. The Panic Made parts are much stronger than stock and should easily handle whatever power our 4AG will dish out, even with drifting abuse.

We shotpeened the Panic Made axles and also had the splines WPC treated to improve fatigue strength. We also ordered our axles and LSD for a Kouki AE86 as the later models had slightly larger and stronger axles.

We are running longer and stronger ARP wheel studs in case we want to run wheel spacers. To run the studs we had to drill out our Panic Made axle flanges to 35/64″ to accommodate them. We didn’t know but you can order Panic Made axles drilled to this spec. It is worth it as doing the drilling to get them straight was a pain in the ass.
