The new longer bolt is put through the harness mount, then the OEM seatbelt mount then into the seat. The right-hand mount is now ready.
The same thing is done with the left-hand mount.
The harness is clipped into the mounts.
Our installation is now complete. You can see the still functional stock seatbelts in place as well.
The Simpson cam lock buckle is fast to release and is not likely to be bumped open.
The new harnesses worked much better than the stock seatbelt holding the driver firmly in place even with hard cornering. The harness was a great aid for driver control and greatly reduced driver fatigue. Even though this installation is less than optimal with no good way to mount the anti-sub belt with the stock seat, all of the other mounts place the lap and shoulder belts are the correct angles. This works better than the stock factory 3-point bar. The stock harnesses are safely in place and the stock interior is still in place and functional, we can’t ask for much more.
