Mounted into our FD, the Driveshaft Shop 3” aluminum driveshaft completes our drivetrain.
We put the car on the ground with a completed drivetrain for the first time in 2 years. We are so excited to have achieved this hurdle and for the entire drivetrain to install so flawlessly. The Fisch Racing Tech CD009 transmission adapter and transmission mount were extremely well engineered and bolted in like it was designed from the factory that way. The Driveshaft Shop driveshaft and axles also bolted right up without any issues.
Overall, the entire drivetrain of our FD is now capable of handling over 1,000whp and were looking forward to fabricating the exhaust, charge pipes, intercoolers, and solving the cooling challenges of the rotary engine with a custom radiator. Stay tuned as we knock out the rest of these components, upgrade the fuel system, built out the turbo system, and get this FD running!

Every update on this project is fantastic! Keep up the good work and keep all of us entertained with this awesome build as most of us go into the cold months with much less track action.
Absolutely love this build series, my dream car
Still a very exemplary build.
One thing though. The trans crossmember looks unnecessarily complex for a simple part. If You really need to make it from billet, mill it from one single piece. The bolt-together construction is just silly. This part could have been made from steel 2x thinner and just welded.
Kakui!!! (Cool!!)
It is crazy how physically tiny that rotary engine is! It’s literally smaller than the transmission!
