Our tilting fenders will give plenty of door clearance. Note how strong the fender mounts are. This is an area that often cracks on cheaper trailers. Don’t ask us how we know… |
With the fender tilted there is much more door clearance. |
The crew at Shadow began building our trailer using fully boxed square section tubes for the rails. Most cheapo trailers like our old stuff used C section steel beams. These had an alarming tendency to bend. Shadow’s fully boxed construction is much stiffer. The trailer is going to have a non rusting aluminum diamond plate deck which is well supported by a network of square section tubes. No more sagging decks or rails.
Killer electro hydraulic disc brakes, just the thing for high speed towing! |
Our trailer is getting heavy duty axles and springs with maintenance free sealed oil filled hubs and super heavy duty 4 wheel hydraulic over electric disc brakes so even if we have to tow something heavy like a R35 or a Z32 we won’t have problems stopping.
Swiveling tie down points keep the straps and hooks pointed straight. |
The ramps will be rear sliding for easy use and self contained and lockable for security. The rear of the trailer is going to be bent downward like a beaver tail to help ease the transition for low race cars. No more driving around with a bunch of wood. Plenty of swiveling flush mounted tie downs are going to be spliced into the deck. Swiveling tie downs are less likely to work loose.
Flush mounted, hidden spare tire holder swings down for easy access and is lockable. |
