Project Trailer Part One: Building the Ultimate Open Deck Trailer
The flush and swiveling tie downs keep the straps from twisting or settling and perhaps coming loose in the process.  Don’t ask how we know about this….

The trailer’s tongue swivels and locks making the trailer harder to seal.  An electric trailer jack speeds loading and unloading and a winch reduces wear and tear on racing clutches when loading the car.  A generous tool box will hold and lock up our tools jack and jack stands as well as contain our winch and a built in locking cable to secure odds and ends.

Flush mounted panel for the LED lights.  This is going to look super clean.

Fully flush mounted LED lights will be harder to damage and a flush mounted spare tire will be clean and tidy and hard to steal but easy to access.  All of the trailers welds are clean mig welds and the steel parts of the trailer will be powder coated.

Flush mounted tailights at less likely to get damaged.

Sure, Project Trailer is going to cost a bit more than your average open trailer but it’s going to be safe, reliable and secure.  Since we would rather spend our time working on our race car instead of our trailer it makes sense to have a trailer that is pretty close to zero maintenance.  Ease of use is going to be great when you are tired after a race weekend and eager to get on the road.  Secureness means you will sleep better knowing your stuff is harder to steal while out on the road.
