Radium offers new fuel cell shape!

Radium Engineering has teamed up with Fuel Safe Systems to offer a competition fuel cell that fits into a spare tire well and features Radium’s anti-starvation Fuel Cell Surge Tank.

Competition Fuel Cell

A competition fuel cell is a necessity for building a reliable and safe fuel system. More than just a welded aluminum box, a competition fuel cell is designed with an impact resistant fuel bladder, tested to F.I.A. specification and housed inside an aluminum enclosure.

Standard rectangular fuel cells can be difficult to install and usually require a level of fabrication and vehicle modification.  This new fuel cell shape can fit into any vehicle with a spare tire well in the trunk with minimal modifications.

Integrated Fuel Cell Surge Tank

The spare tire well fuel cell comes fully assembled with the Radium Fuel Cell Surge Tank (FCST) inside of it. This device is the industry standard for preventing fuel starvation during aggressive driving. The surge tank system can be configured with multiple pump options to support up to 1500hp.  More information on the FCST can be found HERE.

The bottom of the fuel cell is flat, so if a “tower” exists in the spare tire well, it will need to be removed. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure the fuel cell is mounted safely and secured properly in place. Dimensions of the fuel cell can be found on the radiumauto.com product page.  Measure before ordering.
