Staying with the “Keepin' it Simple” routine, the exhaust is custom, but it does retain a catalytic converter and pollution control system. The exhaust from the cat back is custom, though it is simple with just a pair of Apex Bullet mufflers.

It's even a universal, off the shelf weld on tip! Nothing special about that, at first glance. When that turbo spools up, it's pretty much roaring out the gate.

Even the exterior doesn't really give off the fact that it isn't some street car that came to the wrong race. Other than the light weight Seibon Carbon Hood and Hatch Lid that help the TC shed some much needed weight, it doesn't give off the race car feel. The Seibon OEM Style Hatch ensures factory fit and finish, so installing the hatch struts, glass, and third brake light require no special or one-off parts for the lid.

The Seibon Carbon Fiber TS-Style Hood has another benefit besides dropping weight off the car. The vents in the hood are functional, as you can somewhat see in this picture. That helps keep underhood temperatures from rising more than they could with a solid one. This is also important for the turbo as the heat generated by it is something that Toyota probably didn't imagine in building the tC's aerodynamics from the factory.

The aero parts on this car are just enough to give it some aerodynamics. The carbon APR rear wing is fairly basic.

The GT style wing is something a guy could walk into a store or go online and buy.

Even the Wing Struts are off the shelf. This car isn't exotic at all, but it is nice to see on the track as many race cars do trend towards the unattainable or the super custom, the MPTCC is a breath of fresh air in wheel to wheel competition that caters to tuner cars. This isn't Chris Rado's Time Attack tC, but again it's not supposed to be.
