ST Suspensions AZX and DZX Wheel Spacers
At the 2016 SEMA show KW Automotive’s brand ST Suspensions formally introduced its innovative DZX & AZX Wheel Spacer systems allowing installation to wheel hubs using stud bolts and wheel bolts. This Wheel Spacer revolution replaces over 2,000 sets of vehicle specific wheel spacers with only 46 sets of spacer discs, 45 ST adapter rings, and innovative mounting material. For the first time, it is possible to install spacer discs within a range of 5 to 25mm per wheel in 2.5mm-steps as well as 25 to 35mm per wheel in 5mm-steps. It no longer matters if a car is equipped with wheel hubs using stud bolts or wheel hubs in combination with wheel bolts! “Simply stated, the track of every car can be extended from 10 to 70mm per axle”, states ST suspensions product manager, Florian Heumüller, when summarizing the major advantage of the DZX and AZX wheel spacers.
Keeping a wide range of expensive vehicle specific inventory is a thing of the past. Wheel & tire specialists, as well as the automotive aftermarket, now have the chance to offer optimum fitting wheel spacers for thousands of different cars using only a few components. “Through our multiple bolt pattern bores up to twelve bolt circles per DZX spacer can be covered”, explains ST suspensions product manager Florian Heumüller. “This is how we are able to cover all 4-, 5- and 6-hole bolt circles from 4×98 to 6×132. Combining our DZX spacers with our patented adapter rings innumerable cars using wheel bolts can be served. With the use of our new ST shank nuts, nothing stands in the way of an installation to any car with stud bolts anymore. “ Since DZX spacers are available from 5 to 25mm per wheel in steps of 2.5mm an extension of track between 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 45mm and 50mm per axle can be achieved.
Wheel Spacers 2.0
“For the launch of our new AZX spacer discs, six of the most common bolt circles (5×108, 5×110, 5×112, 5×114.3, 5×120 and 5×127) will be available.” The sizes of the spacers are 25mm, 30mm and 35mm and therefore allow track extension of 50mm, 60mm and 70mm per axle. “Our scope of delivery contains ideal mounting accessories for cars with stud bolts or cars using wheel bolts”, stated the ST suspensions product manager when talking about the additional the AZX advantages. Thanks to the patented ST suspensions adapter rings the applications of DZX and AZX track extensions are highly flexible. “For installation, the required adapter ring is clipped into the spacer discs and fits perfectly centered onto the wheel hub.”
