Summer Road Trip: Silver State Classic Part 2

silver state classic finish line. B12 Sentra
After nearly 100 miles the B12 crosses the finish line.  Chuck and Annie were looking for the big yellow inflatable arch and missed their last minute speed corrections they had planned so they only placed 14th out of 23.

After all we went through; the actual run was sort of anti-climatic. This first attempt was more of reconnaissance to see how difficult the race is for later attempts at higher speeds. We will be back and be more prepared. The Sentra showed that its potential is much higher than the 110 mph class.  We feel that the Super B12 can easily run in the 140 mph class without too much stress. It can also do much better in the Z1Z and flying mile with a better clutch.

At the finish line, its time to unwind and let the adrenaline dissipate.

On the long drive back to Southern California we had many thoughts about our return to the Silver State, the next time we would be better prepared and more experienced.  We will probably bring out some of our big gun cars as well.  Eric Hsu is looking at the XS Engineering BNR32 and perhaps we can talk Billy Johnson into running the Cricket Wireless NSX.  Stay tuned, we will be back.

silver state classic finish line ceremony
First time finishers of the race go through a secret ceremony that we swore not to publicize, oh well.  If you finish you get a message from the queen leader then get suddenly shot with some sort of alien juice from the veterans of the event.  Now the cats out of the bag and agents will soon descend upon MotoIQ’s server to silence us.
Next time we will be back and we will do better!
