| Checking into the Palm Springs Imago Gallery verifying mileage and time |
After watching many participants pass us while undergoing repair, we caught up to a few drivers when arriving in Palm Springs to the Imago Gallery, where lunch and 100 degree weather was waiting for us! Following lunch was the second drivers meeting where we received the 2nd road book with the route back to Orange County. The drive started off quick and into the hills. A quick stop at Pechanga for another checkpoint and before we knew it we hit PCH and now the home stretch. Many of the drivers tried to skillfully plan out the route differently than the road book suggested but to match the mileage and time was difficult. Only one team proved that it is possible, two years in a row.

Driving back from Palm Springs I hopped in the passenger seat and lead us through the hills. The road book was a bit more challenging than the first one, but we figured it out. Between the OEM Navigation system, the road book, and our iPhones, we were able to cut a little time and keep our distance on track.
