Amazingly Team Plus has come out with a consumer-level system that does all this at a price that is as affordable as a three sets of tires!
The Team Plus system has some amazing sensors that can read the tire temperature across the tread from a single point. It is uses as a thermal camera and can be offset from the tire to avoid debris thrown up by the tread. Pay attention to this drift guys. If the sensors are mounted directly on top of the tire, they can also monitor the suspension position.
The sensors for temperature and distance are packed into a strong aluminum housing and are fully potted against moisture. The sensors read tire temperature in 8 places across the tire tread and the distance of the tread to the sensor.
For the budget minded, Team Plus has grassroots sensors for a lower price that can be zip tied in place with plastic housings.
The brake sensors are similar to the tire temperature sensors and are mounted in line with the brake rotors.

I went on a bit about this on youtube, but I’ve been trying to put together something like that within my budget for years and had pretty much committed to having to DIY some stuff in order to… and now they release this? Beautiful. I look forwards to hearing how it works in practice, because by spec sheet it fills a role.
