Tested: SoCal Supermoto

,

This is me in my sport bike gear. The temperature peaked at 104F. That ~45 mile bicycle ride I did the day before in some 80F-90F degree weather would come back to haunt me later. This is after the second class instruction where we learned some specific supermoto riding technique which is completely different than sport bike riding. It took some adjusting to for me.
My co-worker Martin rides a supermoto to work all the time, so he was quickly comfortable.
Ladies take the class too!
The third class session involved discussion of riding lines. You may notice we’re all starting to look a bit beat as the temperature was deep into the 90s at this point.
By the third session, everyone was getting pretty comfortable on the paved surface.
Here is a video from the third session after I’d gotten fairly comfortable. Don’t forget to change the setting to watch it in HD. The video was taken with my trusty Replay XD Prime X attached to the top of my helmet.
