In addition to movie stars, world class racers like Jamie Robinson show up to have some fun with the students. Jamie is a certified motorcycle nutcase having started riding at 3 ½ years old. He’s raced in the Isle of Man TT and also Pikes Peak to give you a clue of the testicular fortitude of this guy. Check out his website www.motogeo.com, it’s pretty awesome.
In the afternoon, we transitioned to riding on some dirt. The old mountain biking skills came into play going over the mounds. I won’t call them jumps because I wasn’t doing any jumping. You can see the Replay XD Prime X attached to my head in this picture.
My co-worker Chris however rides dirt bikes. He was plenty comfortable grabbing some air.
More dirt! While I’m in front of Chris for this split second, he’s about to blow past me.
At the end of the day, a bit dirty and dusty.If you ride any form of motorcycle, go do SoCal Supermoto (www.socalsupermoto.com)! Why? It’s stupid fun for relatively low cash. I also learned new skills that helped me later when I borrowed a BMW K1300 GT for a motorcycle trip; the seating position of the K1300 is closer to a supermoto bike than my CBR 600RR, so the skills I learned in the class helped me in maneuvering the K1300 around tight city streets. Did I mention the school is crazy fun? You might even get to be on track dicing it up with some famous people which is way better than seeing them from afar on the red carpet.
