Vince continued the side to side buffing until the cleaner dried to a white haze just like the instructions said.
After the cleaner dried, Vince buffed the lights with a clean microfiber cloth. To Vince's surprise and ours, the headlights didn't look that different, as he had followed the directions to a T. It was obvious that he was going to have to really put some elbow grease into this job.
Not wanting to scratch the paint with the rough polishing pad when rubbing hard, Vince taped up the area around the lights.
This time Vince rubbed hard and rubbed and rubbed until he could feel that the lights were getting an evenly smooth feeling. This took quite a while, maybe 20 to 30 minutes per light.
After buffing with a microfiber cloth, the headlights still had oxidation on them. Vince had to repeat this process about 4 times. This was taking way longer than the instruction suggested.
