MK- Do you have any tips for beginners wanting to get into drifting? For Pro Am guys wanting to move up?
JR- For anyone wanting to get into drifting, do it because you enjoy it and it is fun; NOT because you think its going to get you sponsors or make you some sort of star. Drifting requires dedication, the will to learn, and a passion that will drive you to keep getting back on the “horse”. Don’t have too much pride to “suck”; everyone starts as a newbie and is not “good” at some point or another. Also don’t be scared to ask questions to those that are more advanced and most importantly HAVE FUN, that’s what drifting is all about.
For the Pro Am guys; every single one of you represent the next generation, it’s not gonna be a cakewalk getting to where you want to be, but it is within reach. Keep chasing that dream, but don’t rush it. A good balance of passion and reality will go a long way. I look forward to lining up with you guys for a fun clean battle in the future!

| JR’s personal RTR-X Mustang is one of my favorite modded cars of all time. I love the look which takes cues from modded classic Japanese cars much like how the new Mustang is neoclassicaly styled. The stance is perfect. The car also has state of the art suspension and powertrain mods. It’s probably a bit too wild to find its way to the showroom though. Look for the RTR-X in the new Need for Speed video game. |
MK- Lastly tell us a little about the Mustang RTR that is available in dealerships.
JR- The Mustang RTR is my vision of a new generation of Mustang. It comes in the form of a dealer-installed package that offers both an upgrade in performance and looks. It’s my brainchild and a project I am very passionate about. Check it out at MustangRTR.com.
