My friend, Jeremy, in his awesome Civic following me for a couple of laps in the afternoon. With the rising temperatures in the afternoon, my temperatures starting rising. As it was so cool in the morning I hadn’t opened up the extra venting. That aside, this K powered Honda was all over the Nissan. In my defense, traffic … heat … old age! LOL. From the crest, at 3 you are then downhill again through 4 and 5. In 5 you begin a gentle uphill climb leading to 6. This is a fast sweeper set of corners that, if you placed the car properly then you are going to be on the gas throughout. My instructor, Matt, sensed my hesitation through here (because he could feel me off the gas and braking the first few times through) and he let me know that these corners reward a driver who trusts his car and trusts the corners. After my warm-up sessions and learning the track, I absolutely put more trust in both and the turns were exceptional. Between 5 and 6 there is a kink that does not have a number. In wheel to wheel racing, it will be challenging, on a track day you can straighten it out.
