The downpipe segment is tacked together to fit it before welding.  The flange is tacked to the Burns transition pipe to increase the diameter from 2.5″ to 3″.

We had only a few weeks to turn a lower level class Time Attack car into a pro drift car but we had a good crew to do it.  Scott Dodgeon of SPD Metalworks, Dai’s drifting crew chief was busy overhauling the S13 so Costa Gialamas of GTI Technical Innovations, the builder of the Z volunteered to take the lead role in retrofitting the car as well as Chris Marion from KW Suspension and our own Mike Kojima.

Look at the smooth low backpressure bends!  The V-Band clamps will make for easy disassembly.
