The 5.0L 4-valve DOHC TiVCT power-plant has received a R2300 ROUSHcharger, forcefeeding up to 12psi of inter-cooled air to the already robust Coyote engine. The ROUSHcharger® supercharger induction system increases the base horsepower from 412HP to an impressive 540HP and 465 ft/lbs of torque.
With 540 hard-charging ponies ultra high performance Cooper RS3 tires wrap the Stage 3’s wheels to aid in acceleration, cornering, and safely bringing the car down to a stop. The suspension package includes ROUSH front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front stabilizer bars and jounce bumpers, all engineered to work in perfect harmony with the big brakes and sticky Cooper RS3 tires. The RS3 also offers a Competition Brake Upgrade to the ROUSH 6-piston caliper (red color only), and an option to upgrade to ROUSH’s Competition Suspension (double adjustable coil-overs) for driver’s that want race car-like performance through corners and turns.
The RS3 comes fully-loaded with ROUSH body style components including a front fascia with driving lights, chin spoiler, side rocker splitters, rear valance, rear deck-lid spoiler, and newly designed square exhaust tips that fit elegantly into the ROUSH rear valance cutouts. Interior enhancements include newly appointed ROUSH leather seating, four-piece performance pedals, ROUSH illuminated sill plates, and an interior ROUSH Stage 3 badge.
The estimated retail price for the typically equipped 2012 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang is around $59,945. Actual final retail pricing will vary based on options selected. The RS3 is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and is currently available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. The ROUSHcharged® 2012 RS3 vehicle is currently not available for sale into California and other states requiring CARB emissions standards.
