WATCH: Project DC2 Integra Goes Faster at Buttonwillow Raceway!

We’re back at Buttonwillow Raceway with our 1996 Acura Integra GSR and even with the hotter temps that were holding Project C7 Corvette from going faster our little Integra made some impressive gains!  Since our last trip to the track we upgraded the entire suspension with a set of KW V3 coilovers and Whiteline bushings.  We also added a set of Nitto NT05 tires a lightweight flywheel from Centerforce and limited slip differential from OS Giken!

If you missed the baseline test, watch that video HERE!

  1. Very nice, you can really see that diff doing it’s magic at corner exit. I tried Integra brakes on my D16 EJ Civic, and they did not hold up at all on the track, so I can only imagine how they perform on a heavier more powerful car. I now run a big Type-R caliper with a 280mm Mini rotor which works awesome.

Really curious to see if you can dial out the understeer and optimize the car balance and cornering speed with the KW’s soft rear dampers/spring rates. I’d like to run them in my time trial car but I’m hesitant if they are making a big compromise in performance for ride comfort, but I’ve also heard that a very stiff rear isn’t necessarily the only/best way to optimize this platform. Seems like this is more of a street car though so maybe the end goal isn’t quite the same.
