To replace these, we simply removed two screws behind the sunglasses holder, and popped off the plastic cover. Here are the two new small LW-101 bulbs installed.
Our plan was to also change the bulbs in the center dome, between the rear seats, but we then realized we’d ordered the wrong bulbs for that one. We’ll be completing that later.

For now, you can still see the contrast between our new “white” interior front, compared to the old, yellowish rear.

To give us another before-and-after comparison, we also spent a few minutes to install five LW-101 bulbs in Project E46 M3. This shot shows the stock lights…

…while, using the exact same camera settings, this shots showcases the new Halo LEDs from Sparkplugs.com installed. The difference is quite noticeable, and it’s nice to be able to see the true colors of everything inside, too. I mean, for a while I thought my girls were always jaundiced.
Well, that's it for our Mazda MPV makeover. While subtle, they sure have made all aspects of driving–including even when walking up to the car, noticing the new aesthetics–way more enjoyable. And the fact that pretty much everything featured in Parts 1 and 2 are universal, anyone can enjoy these upgrades!
Okay, so perhaps you're still wondering how we shot this. It's actually very simple and safe. Simply find yourself a little open area large enough to be able to drive in a slow, very tight circle (and I mean literally, 5-6mph, not too much off idle speed). Set your camera to around 1/30th of a second, and pan with the car as it comes full circle. The slow shutter speed will give the illusion of the vehicle moving at high speed (but notice the suspension isn't even compressed at all–the girls pressed their faces against the window on purpose). Choose your focal point (normally I shoot the wheel/reflector area) and adjust the aperture based on lighting, keeping the camera speed the same. If you're doing this a little faster–say 10-15mph–it's a lot easier because your shots can be 1/80th of a second or so. But, for sake of the kids, we were moving at jogging speeds. They were so bored we had to encourage them to scream their heads off. If you decide to catch the car head-on as it's circling, you can create a drifting-like look, too (only with no tire smoke). And that's it!
