The LSA has a hot sparking coil on plug ignition system. The LSA is fitted with stainless headers which make a big difference on this high flowing supercharged motor. |
Billet big throttle body helps flow and allows the drive by wire motor to be controlled by a user programmable AEM ECU. |
An Accusump is a remote accumulator for the oiling system. If the engine’s pickup sucks air, it provides pressurized oil so the engine won’t run dry. It is a poor man’s dry sump and is essential for serious drift and time attack cars if you want the engine to live! |
Everything on a drift car gets hot and the Camaro has a power steering cooler to prevent the fluid from boiling. |
The engine oil cooler is located on the lower valence. |
Swirl pots for the engine and intercooler coolant keep the systems deaerated. These really help cooling a lot and are very important for track and drift cars. Most people leave these details out. |
AEM’s Series 2 engine management system is a state of the art engine control unit capable of data logging. What’s cool is that is is really affordable. Our buddy Mitch Peterson helped tune the LSA. |
