Celebration of Motorsport

And since I'm on the topic of Nissan NX's, here's one I wasn't aware of. Surprises happen at every race. I've heard this 1993 Nissan NX2000, piloted by Tianni Biral, has a turbocharged engine under the hood. It obviously has a custom nose to allow for greater air flow. I'm not sure what the ducting on the rear quarter panel is for. Brakes? or maybe the rad is mounted in the rear hatch area?
GT1 and overall GT Sprint winner, the #07 Porsche 997 GT3 raced by Tim Sanderson, making it's way past some BMWs. Tim is closing in on #210 Ali Nasirpour in his 1995 BMW E36.  The white BMW is Daria Khachi and it's a 1991 BMW E30 M3 while getting ready to make a move is Alan Morris in a 1984 BMW 323i.

Fast lap for the #07 was 1:24.069 – that's averaging  168.98 KPH or 105 MPH around the ten corner track. For comparison purposes, Alex Tagliani won the pole here at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – Chevrolet Silverado 250 – with a time of 1:20.558.

The sound of this 1965 Ford Cobra was simply outstanding. It's a beautiful car! John Cosgrove drove it to a best lap of 1:32.668 – and his best laps in the three races spread over the weekend were within 0.3 seconds of each other. Talk about consistency!
Matt Berridge's 2006 Nissan 350Z was running in the GT Challenge series, which focuses on an endurance style. #141 won class and overall, taking the lead at the Green Flag and never looking back. A couple of highlights of this car are that it has Moton dampers and a set of SG Longtube headers (I'm only aware of a few of these headers being built) that make it sound absolutely amazing. I've driven this car on track – under caution conditions only – and it's beautifully set up. I've also raced against Matt in Ontario Time Attack. He's a focused competitor and an amazingly nice guy.
Here we join Matt in the 350Z for a few laps of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. You can experience the corners, the sounds, and the elevation changes of this amazing track.

Here Perry Ianuzzi, President of CASC-OR, is monitoring the video crew as they set up video equipment. They are in process of creating an “Essence of CASC-OR” video. Perry is an avid racer and has been leading CASC-OR for a couple of years.
