Relentless real world testing on their own time and dime would allow AMS to find the limits, engineer a solution to the problem, and implement in time for competition. Whether drag or road racing, they were pushing what was possible as well as their budget. While they were growing in size they continued to plug huge money into their Drag and Time Trial programs in an effort to win, and that's exactly what they did. This massive investment of man and brain power would reach critical mass and in 2008 the AMS chain reaction would occur at a constant rate.

Within the following 365 days AMS wold gobble up a brand new to the US Evo X, prepare it and proceed to win the Sport Compact Car Ultimate Street Car Challenge. AMS was also working on a killer 4G63 build to compete in the Castrol Top Shop Challenge. This unique competition was an all out battle for who could make the most power out of a motor on a spec 100 octane fuel. In a field of serious competitors and up against serious motors AMS would best the competition with 1035 HP from just 2.0 liters of displacement.

In addition, AMS would also claim the top prize in the Mitsubishi Baddest Evolution Challenge as well as the Import Tuner Evo VS STi shootout. The AMS crew was also busy sponsoring, supporting, and prepping other cars in many forms of motorsport from SCCA T2, Hill Climb, Rally, and drag racing. Yet again the focused crew seemed to be everywhere in the EVO world standing on top of the podium.
